Boy Scouts get a taste of the auto business at museum

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum hosted the Nuts and Bolts Fall Camp-o-ree on October 10-12 with the Clinton Valley Council Ojibwa District of the Boy Scouts of America.

Scout campers included children of Chrysler employees, who competed in 10 automotive and engineering-themed events, learned about engineering careers and received a bit of pure automotive inspiration. The 462 participants also explored the engineering heritage of Chrysler while touring the museum exhibits.

Demonstration and hands-on activities were provided by co-sponsors Kautext, RideMakerz and the student-built First Robotics 2007 winner sponsored by Chrysler. The Viper Club and Chrysler SRT provided hot cars for up-close inspection. The Challenger SRT was featured on the scout patch commemorating the weekend.
